Domain Transfer - Making DNS changes at GoDaddy.com Once logged in just follow these steps:
- Go to Domains >> My Domains
- Click on your domain you'd like to set up private nameservers for
- Click on View/Modify Detail under 'Host Summary' on the bottom left
- For "Host Name 1:" you'll input "ns1" (no quotes) in the box
- For "Host Name 2:" you'll input "ns2" (no quotes) in the box
- For "Host IP 1:" you'll input your primary IP address
- For "Host IP 2: you'll enter the same IP as your primary address, except one number higher.(For Example: You received the ip: 70.87.90.194 when signing up, this would be your primary IP for ns1. For ns2 you would use: 70.87.90.195)
- Click "OK"
Your name servers should look something like:
ns1.ninthcommerce.com = 74.54.77.210
ns2.ninthcommerce.com = 74.54.77.211
8. You will see confirmation page. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for the changes to take place. Be sure to always lock your domain after making changes.
